For a city that’s located in the desert, Las Vegas sure has a lot to offer its visitors. Sin City is known as the entertainment capital of the world, and it sure doesn’t disappoint. It’s famous for its extravagant nightlife, over the top casinos, themed hotels, and of course, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Grand Canyon. Here’s why you should visit Las Vegas in 2017.
The casinos are some of the best in the world
The casinos in Las Vegas are everything you’ve seen on the TV and in films, and more. Las Vegas prides itself on gambling as an experience. In Vegas, it’s not just about sitting down at a machine for hours (unless you want to do that,) Vegas is about the lights, the sounds, the environment. It’s so over the top, but it’s so great. As well as stand-alone casinos, almost every hotel on the Strip will have one or a few casinos in them, so you’re never far away from your nearest win.
The hotels are incredible
Imagine this: a hotel in the shape of a giant pyramid, with a huge Sphinx in front of it, a hotel shaped like a medieval castle, a hotel that transports you to Venice – Canals and Gondolas included, and a hotel with the Eiffel Tower in front of it. In my dreams, right? Wrong. Vegas has all of these hotels, and more.
You can visit the Grand Canyon
Everyone should aim to see at least one wonder of the world in their lifetime, so while you’re living it up in Las Vegas, why not take a visit to the Grand Canyon? To see the Canyon in all its glory, try and take a helicopter and fly over it. Alternatively, try out the glass-bottomed walkway that plunges out of the rock – it’s not for the faint hearted.
There’s so much shopping to do!
As well as its casinos, Las Vegas is also known for its shopping – there are six Louis Vuitton stores on the same strip. Wowza. As well as the fancy expensive shops that only the rich and famous can afford, on the outskirts of Vegas lies malls that are extremely affordable for the average tourist. Or alternatively, you could spend mega-bucks…your choice.
They host some amazing shows
Vegas and its nightlife are notorious, with high-class nightclubs and bars attracting millions of visitors each year. If you’re about the quieter lifestyle, Vegas hosts amazing entertainment shows like Cirque du Soleil and Blue Man Group as well as huge musical talents such as Celine Dion, Britney Spears, and Elton John. What could be better?
